Kurono is launching the Vermilion Chronograph ‘SHU:朱’, a small-batch limited release presented in a distinct, vivid orange-red vermilion that is famously associated with nobility and good luck. The dial color, a “selenium red” and “vermilion” pigment, was chosen by Hajime Asaoka after rigorous UV exposure tests to ensure it would not fade over time. The 38mm chronograph is based on the slim Mk.2 case and is powered by a reliable NE86 automatic movement, and will only be available for in-person purchase at Kurono’s Tokyo and Shanghai salons.
